I'm hearing a knocking sound whenever I accelerate or brake. I can hear it more while braking. It's three knocking sounds, depending on how fast I brake they'll be back-to-back or a little spread out. I'm guessing it's my motor mounts, but I'm not exactly sure. Motor mounts are still stock, 98,000 miles on them. Any ideas? :dsm:

More to add...
It also does a clicking sound along with the knocking sound. Sometimes it'll click while turning. Does the clicking/knocking while downshifting. And when letting off the throttle quickly. Anyone? :dsm:

You should check that your control arms are tightened all of the way. I had one of the bolts on on of my control arms loosen itself and when I tightened it it fixed those noises.

Sorry it took so long to get you guys an update...
It turns out the CV joints and axle carrier bearing mount were fine. Problem was that the front PS strut was missing a nut where it attached to the control arm and that the rear sway bar had a snapped bolt. Drilled that out and replaced everything. All the knocking and clicking has ceased, but I'm still hearing a single knock when braking, coming from the front of the car. My guess is to change out my motor mounts, which are all bad. Sound about right? Or is there something else that can be causing the knock?
