Ok over the weekend I put a balance shaft eliminator kit in my car (the factory version). While doing that I also put in an all new water pump, front cover gasket, oil filter housing bracket, crank sela and oil pump seal. I then put a new timing belt on and also resealed the oil pan and transfer case. After finishing everything up and starting the car up I had good oil pressure and no more leaks (which was why I undertook the project in the first place). Problem is my idle seems messed up now. It's almost like it's misfiring from having bad plugs/wires and real lumpy sounding like it's has big degree cams. All the timing marks lined up correctly and I turned the motor around by hand 5 or 6 times before I put everything back together and the timing was dead on. It did seem ok on a short drive less than a 1/2 mile, but it wants to almost stall at idle. No CEL's came on so far. Someone help me out. I haven't really looked it over yet, but I'm gonna after I catch some slep today (I work 3rd shift) so any suggestions or anything would be great. Thanx.
