throttle problems

ok,now i have another issue with my talon its a 91 tsi. it boosts just fine and pulls nicely at part throttle ,if i go ahead and lean into the throttle it really has no effect it seems like the boost goes away even though the guage stays the same.right now im trying to get the car running like normal before i go modding anything this talon is 100% stock.

Man I have the same problem. Did a boost leak test on it and found a hissing under the valve cover. Now I'm kinda worried it's going to cost more money. I'm thinking head but I don't know.

Have you checked your compression?

i had a tech look at it after i got the car he said something about compression,it does not smoke or burn oil when i am at full throttle. i cant remeber the numbers he told me.all this started to happen after i had my exaust leak fixed.i had the downpipe replaced after that the car is blahh. im begining to think this car is more trouble than what its worth.i had a turboed zc in my crx and never had any issues like this and it had a compression problem i tryed to run it til it blew up but i never could get it to go , 15psi on that zc and it held together like a champ.this dsm stuff is a whole new world for me and so far i am having no luck with it.

He was asking BudmannG because he has hissing from VC, you sir need to perform a boost leak test first.

And make sure to check your PCV valve for leaking boost pressure into the rocker cover.

i have a 91 tsi im having the same problem 1st gear it wont pull till 5500, then 2nd pulls decent dies at 5k , so on and so fouth, but then some times it does pull like a champ ?


the car is 100% stock, compresstion was 150 on all cly. , i put a new pvc, plugs ,wires fresh tank of 93, and tightend all the boost clamps
