is it boost problems?

hello people 1st timer so bear w/ me.ok, i have a 97 eclipse gsx w/ a 92 6 bolt conversion in it.now my problem is that when i start getting boost (about 1-2psi),my car starts hesitating and sputtering.my a/f also fluctuates back and forth really fast.can anybody help?thank you.

You've either got a boost leak or a bad turbo.

Make a boost leak tester and check it out.

ok ,now how can i make one and how will i know its not an internal leak?i know the turbo is good i just replaced the turbine housing yesterday.it was still doing that before i installed it ,by the way.

i heard when you're doing a boost leak check that you need to cap off your boost controller intake hose.is this true?and which one is it?

i got fed up with this $#*% and took it to tuners edge.ill let them try to figure it out.ill let ya'll know the outcome.ttys, oh n thanks for the help guys.

well ,i came to find out that the fuel pump that was in the tank was faulty .i guess the idiot that had the car b4 me had put a fuel pump to a supra in it with out the filter.well u could guess the rest. well thanx 4 everything.

weird i have the same issue...when i floor it it builds up to 1-2 psi then the boost jus stays there then gradually graises then i hit full boost (10psi) at 4500rpm on a 14b.....errrrr turbo spools fast in 3rd-5th but in 1st-2nd it takes me up to like 4500-5000 to hit full boost which isn't even the stock boost...
