Ok i got this motor that i am trying to put on an engine stand to get it ready to drop in. The problem is i cant get the damn flywheel off. We tried everyting from trying to break the bolts loose by hand to using a huge compressor and nice gun on it tonite....no success. Only 1 of them came out, the rest dont even move, WTF. Anyone have any ideas on how to break them loose? Also has anyone ever put an engine on a stand without removing the flywheel? If so where did u get bolts long enough?
Please help me out cause i am out of ideas. I got a torch but is it a good idea to do that, i dont want to melt the bolts.

Take a big hammer and give each bolt a good smack and then try to loosen them. If that doesnt work, try heating them up some with a propane or mapp gas torch. Be careful no to overheat them because you can damage the rear seal.

Finally got the bolts off. Took it to a shop and they had an ingersol-rand gun that took all but 1 off in 20 seconds; the other had to get torched for 30 seconds and it came right out.
