I have two different questions and I might as well ask them in the same post:

1. I just took off my front bumper and replaced my headlights. But in the process I sheared off the heads of 4 of the smaller bolts while unscrewing them. They just twisted right off as I turned. It's so frustrating and I have no idea how to prevent it. Now I'm worried because I just bought a 14b and I am worried that the same thing will happen when trying to remove my T25. Is there ANY way to solve this problem???

2. When my car is idling the oil pressure is going all the way down to the bottom of the guage, when I drive, it rises to a little bit under the minimum line. As soon as it goes back to idle, the oil pressure drops and the oil light comes one. I hoping that this is anything other than a bad oil pump but it's starting to look that way. Any other ideas what it could be?

Thanks in advance for anybody that gives me some input.

Okay, scratch the first question, but about the second, is this normal? I never noticed on other cars but I never really looked hard.

Stock gauge or aftermarket? How many RPM at idle? Any onset of the problem or just outta nowhere? How many miles on ur car?

I've got a stock gauge, it idles at around 700-900, and the car has 150,000 miles. I've only started to notice it now. I don't remember seeing it before, but I don't remember ever checking before. Does your pressure lower when you're idling?

Your oil pressure will lower some at idle but shouldn't go low enough to cause the oil light. With the stock gauge, I really can't help ya cause I don't use mine, I have aftermarket. I'm sure you have checked the actual oil level and verified for no leaks? If so, I would look at faulty oil gauge or pump. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Although I will tell you that my car had about the same mileage as yours, the oil pump went out, and I spun a crank bearing which cause a rebuild. So be CAREFUL! and good luck.

Cool, thanks for the help. Just wondering, is there a way to check for a bad oil pump without removing it? And, if it is bad, can a semi skilled person do this job themself?
