Ok, so I get in the car this morning, and Go to shift my car out of 1st gear to start it and I hear something drop. The shifter it really lose and wont engage anything. So i took off the center console and found this pin out and on the end of the pin it is rough, but it is hard to tell if it is broken b/c it doesnt look snapped off. But other than that, when I put the pin back in, I can't seem to find anything (like a nut) that would attach to the far side of the pin, there are no threads on it. I hope someone could help me with this asap

well, besides checking www.vfaq.com, I would check the linkage cables all the way to the motor. There's a bracket holding the linkage cable to the motor and if its loose or not attached it will give you the same problem you are describing. I havent jacked with the actual shifter assembly yet so cant help you there.
