Hey, my speedometer...well, entire gauge cluster is busted. The tach works, but that's it.

What i really need to know, is how to wire it better...i got a schematic from mitsubishi...but they neglected to tell me which 2 prongs the wires need to go into from the cluster...leaving me pretty much stranded.

I figured someone around here has to know, so does anyone know which two prongs the two wires go into from the speedometer?

I'm buying a replacement cluster, and i just want to know how to install it, so i'm not stranded again.

Thanks!

yeah i've tried everything...it's shot...i just need to know what 2 ports the new ones wires will plug into....

Don't you just pull the old one out and slide the new one in? What ports are you talking about? Mine has the plug integrated into the back and it just clips in. If your going to buy a new one look on eBay, I got one for $50 i think. I dont even wanna know what the dealer charges for them.

Can you take a picture of what you're talking about? I don't know what "prongs" you're talking about - a standard DSM instrument cluster has 2 plugs - one on each side of the cluster - these plug directly into the dash behind the cluster and provides power to everything in the cluster. It can't be plugged in backwards.
