Okay, I installed my boost gauge and checked six times on the vfaq and yet I still dont see what is wrong. The boost controller is pretty much all the way out yet im still boosting 20 psi. I then thought, oh okay thats all the way boosting, but when I turned it in, I got WAAAYYY to much boost and hit fuel cut as I let go of the accelerator as I hit 26 psi???? on the stock T25?? What the hell is going on. I want less boost.

what kinda boost controller do you have? have you tried to bypass the boost controller by running from boost source right o the wastegate nipple-this will let you know if it is a wastegate problem or boost controller problem.

Careful with that T25 it only took a couple big spikes like that on mine to kill it. Granted it had like 80k miles, but thats not that much.

Woah ive never heard of that, can you tell me what that does, what I should see, and what boost I should be running.

Also my friends had messed with the boost controller before. Is the spring supposed to be on top of, or below the ball?

the straight hose sends all of the pressure immediately to the wastegate controller so the controller opens at the lowest boost setting possible. The ball should be towards the boost source under the spring, pretty sure about that. You should buy a name brand controller IMHO because a small amount of money can save you tons of effort stress and possibly a new turbo.

usually the boost source in comes through the bottom of the mbc, then the ball and on top of the ball sits the spring, then the side nipple goes to the nipple on the wastegate. I had the same problem with mine at first(hallman). I had to blow threw the bottom nipple with my mouth and turn the adj nob util i felt it harder to blow threw, put it back on then adj from there. Some mbc are really sesitive and it only takes a little turning to get it where you want it. Hope this helps. Oh remember the further you twist the adj nob in the more boost your going to get,

I would toss out that boost controller thats been tampered with. If you have it hooked up properly just like the diagrams on the V faqs or the Taboo racing site then the controller is probably bad. Buy a new one theyre cheap. Start off with lower boost. Try 10-12. Then maybe 14-16 max on that turbo. Good luck.

Hey man, I just installed a TurboXS boost controller on my car Saturday and hooked it up like they said to on here, (so I thought) and I was boosting past 20 psi. I thought the controller adjusted wrong because mine has 2 adjustments. Well after several attempts, I switched the hoses around on the controller and it worked correctly. OMG It boosted at 18psi and I turned it down to 15psi and now I'm tickled to death with it. Good luck. :thumb:

Provided you've installed it correctly, the spring is too strong.
