So i was driving and head a pop in my car, pulled to the side and car starts to spudder, i looked in the engine bay and it doesn't seem to be teh timing belt (still on) didn't see any oil leaking. hopefully it's either my turbo or something, i can just get another used one. THis blows gonna get it towed to local shop sometime today. AHHHHHHH THIS BLOWS

i just wanted opinions on what peple think is wrong....this is what happened...i was driving 25 in a 25mph zone...the speed went to 40mph and i hit boost and "pop" so my guess the turbo went, the pulled over and the car started to spudder so my guess is little air was getting ot the intake manifold. THe timing belt was still in one piece, that's pretty much all i looked at before leaving, i parked her on the side in a iced over lot and she's waiting to be towed to the local shop. What things should i look at?

when an intercooler hose pops off, so you're having your car towed without checking anything basically? Do yourself a favor, go back out there, check the hoses, intercooler piping, any signs of ANYTHING leaking at all. Pull off your intake and see if you can spin the turbine on your turbo. Then if you still have nothing have it towed.

And NO saying my car sputters and is not leaking oil is not a good enough description of a problem for ppl to know what the problem is.

yeah it turned out ot be the main uicp (rubber) that poped off...didn't get the towed just had my roommate bring me over. man does that lift a huge stone off my chest. lates
