Tranny problems

When I first drive my '93 TSi, it shifts smoothly through all the gears, sometimes a little hard to go into 1st or R. As I drive, it will start to grind when I go into third gear. I was told it was the syncros, but it doesnt make sense that it only grinds when warmed up ?????? Could it be something else?

well mine is kinda the same way...i am replacing the master and slave cylinder (clutch) and then im gonna do new fluid hoping to help this...my 3rd grinds after being warmed up...its when im racing but its not reallya grind...just a hesistaion.....idk ill post tomorrow and tell u if it helped..

What fluid do you have in your trans?

I don't know the brand but it was changed around a month ago.
