Uxbridge,
Yesterday I get out of the car. Leave the lights on, 1/2 hour later go back to start the car and the battery is dead.
OK fine stuff happens. I was at a auto store to pick up a part. I asked the good folks to jump me. I figured a quick jump and I'd be on my way. Jumping the battery had no effect. The engine did not even begin to sound like it was turning over. I'd turn the key and nothing. Not even a click click click.
I checked the battery post tightened everything. Checked the lights and radio etc.. everything worked fine. Jumped again. Nothing. To get home a couple of guys pushed me I popped the cluck and bang it started. As soon as I took my foot of the gas the car died. I tried to start it again. The same thing, nothing. I replaced the battery last Oct, so it's not an old battery. All of the other electrical components in the car work.
This is totally frustrating.
Anyone have an idea what's going on?

:)Thank you for your feedback
Your suggestion is a good one.
However, the problem was one I never expected. Apparently there is an electrical connection that is made when you push down the clutch to start the car. In my case this electrical connection was not being made. I need a new part to insure the connection works. Right now I'm up and running.
This site has been invaluable to me as well as others.
Thank you.
