okay the motor is almost completly dis attatched from everything, after reading several searches general consensus is to pull the tranny too, well the bell housing bolts are out and the motor is not moving back to the right place, so i have to pull the motor out now, the problem is, i cant seem to get the input shaft off the tranny so ic an pull it up, i have removed the tranny mount and the entire mount on the right side of the bay.

I was wondering what people have done int he past to remove the two, as there is not really that much space. Also There may very well be a bell housing bolt attached but im pretty sure i have them all, even the one kinda hidden by the starter. Anyone with similer problem/solution would be greatly appreciated. :dsm:

do what i did and you will have a MUCH easier time. pull the axles and DROP the tranny/engine together from underneath the car . then take the tranny off when they are out. it is MUCH easier in my opinion

well there is defnitly not enough room for the engine to come out from under neath.

i had planned now to drop the tranny from underneath it, then pull the engine out from over top it.

how do you figure that? ive done it like 5 times with no problem at all, unless there is a difference with the engine bay of a 1ga and a 1gb

becuase the car is on jack stands. and even if the engine was sitting on the floor there wouldnt be enuff room to yank it out from under neath. but its already hooked up to a cherry picker and i think ill just pull it out from under neath (the tranny) and then pull the engine from the top. should of just left the tranny attached

If you are on a full size gargage service bay lift yes.. At home trans out the bottom engine out the top..

You will have to lower the left side of the engine to get enough clearance to slide the input shaft out of the clutch..
