Today I was driving on the way to work and back home. I have a feeling I have a boost leak somewhere but my question is, what the hell does it mean while your boosting and all of a sudden it goes bam! and it feels like you loose boost for a split second and the car starts boosting again? Is that related to a boost leak or is that fuel cut? How do I fix that? Tomorrow I'm installing a exhaust and 2.5 inch pip along with a test pipe. I hope that will fix whatever is wrong.... also is there a o2 sensor on the cat?

BAM! Maybe Backfiring? Running Too Rich? Could be possible that you have a boost leak. Good luck on finding ur boost leak. Ive never had problems with boost leak, but hopefully someone will help you out here on how to find it.

sorry for not explaining... its not like a bang sound like something popped. Its more like it feels like something hit my car. The car jerks hard. I will be boosting 15psi and all of a sudden I get a hard jerk and it continues to boost again. Doesnt happen all the time but its annoying when it happens.

how much boost are you running?? If you are boosting too much, you might want to change that Mas Air flow sensor. 1g sensors cant handle much power. A Fuel pump wont fix your problem if you still have the stock Air Flow Meter, but you will need it sooner or later especially changing the MAS.

Not true. I've ran 19-21 psi for years with the 1g mas. Your problem is that the stock fuel system will not support much beyon 16psi, so you need to upgrade your fuel pump. You will need a afpr for a 255 because it will over run your stock fpr. If you don't plan to go crazy, 190 should be sufficient.

I know this is a completely different question, but my car will not boost past 5 psi. I had a hit and run with some drunk guy. After I chased him to his house, and the cops arressted him for DUI, I started my car after letting it sit for about 10 min, went to go up a hill, and practically no boost. I then pulled the vac line of the wastegate actuator, still same thing. checked intercooler, piping, and vac lines, still only 5psi. Turbo spins freely, noshaft play either. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS WRONG : !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Either you have a huge boost leak somewhere or your wastgate actuator is gone.

I know it's been asked tons of times before, but how do I check the actuator??????????

If your actuator is functioning, the arm shuld keep the wastgate door tight shut until the desired boost level is reached. Check and make sure the actuator arm does not move freely or stuck at the open position.

the actuator arm does keep the door shut tight, and the arm has no excessive play.

Did you boost leak test yet? I large exhust leak before the o2 housing can also cause you problems. You shouldn't hijack someone elses's thread, since it doesn't look like it will be a quick fix. Start your own thread and give us more details, including your car profile.
