Okay, I had a question... The car smokes when idling (which idles around 2000 RPM) the smoke comes near the back of the engine and out the dipstick. I was wondering if this would interfer if I was to put a whole new engine in the car. The reason is because I am intersted in a DSM and he is selling as is and wont let me inspect it. Thanks

whats his reasoning behind not letting you inspect it, you'll find something wrong with it? Sounds fishy, I would say no unless he is letting it go for cheap...or you are ambitious.

Thats the thing, I have looked EVERYWHERE! I cant find one for cheap...my budget is around 2 grand maybe a little more.....Tryin to find one with a blown motor but good body/chasis/drivetrain. But whatever...I duno im gonna go take one more look later maybe...he said this guy was on his way from toledo but its been like 3 hours so idk. Its pissing me off.

Engine has blowby. Price lowered to $1100.




What does that mean?

If you were already planning on replacing the motor, then Id say that it sounds like the car for you. Blow-by means that the rings are no longer sealing to the cylinder walls. It burns oil. .

Id offer 900 on the blown motor one. He'll pry meet you halfway at a grand. You then have enough money leftover to build a stroker motor. With a little bit of work she'd be a screamer.
