Starter on continously

Hey guys, I have a problem. On my 95' GST I tried to go start it the other day, It cranked. shortly after I could hear a beep noise that sounded like it was coming from behind my head unit. I thought something was wrong so i cut the car off, and the car dies, but the starter keeps going like i am still trying to crank it. I have to undo the battery to make it stop. what could be causing this? any help would be appreciated.

I thought it could be my ignition switch or the starter relay. I replaced both of them and it still does it. when i start it now, i can hear the relay clicking on and off really fast. I have no idea what could be making my car do this. I need help asap

We had a Pathfinder in the dealership that did this. The thing had burnt in a fire before and the wiring was a fubared. I have no idea what ended up being the fix, but it is most likely some sort of wiring short circuit. Could be inside the starter or could be external.
