im intrested in getting this motor

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7927969998&category=33615

to put in my 98 gst that currently has a blown 7 bolt. my ? is do i have most all the parts needed to put onto the motor in looking to buy? the motor on comes with head and block { im guessing oil pan and other major compenents like that} but no turbo no intake mani and others. stuff like water pumps and componenets im wondering if they will work. ill be getting a new intake mani for it and i already have my turbo setup. is there anything else that you guys see that ill be needing?

also, what kind of o2 housing would i need for a t3/t4 57 trim turbo setup?

1) You realize that's a N/A engine, right? No turbo. That means higher compression rate, no knock sensor, no oil feed for turbo, etc, etc. It can have a turbo put on it but it's gonna be quite a bit of work.

2) How do you know whether it's a 6-bolt or 7-bolt? They started using 7-bolts in 05/92. If it's a 6-bolt (good), then you'll have to have a new flywheel.

no i didnt realize it was N/A. i must have seroiusly passed over the small print in there. nevertheless im looking for a turbo 6bolt. but thanks for pointing that out, deffintly a time saver.

I'd scour junkyards in search of a '90 or '91 turbo.
If all else fails, hop on the trader and look there.

would it be a better idea just to get a short block? cyl walls 3 and 4 are scored there formaking rod knock, therefore making the car not run. i dont know what should do, swap the entire motor or just replace the block.

If the head is in good shape, I'd try to just find a block w/rotating assembly. If you can find a full engine in a junkyard for cheap, but the whole engine and sell your head on the trader.

Are your cylinder walls scored beyond boring?

yes, very scored. when the car starts you immedietly hear the road knocking, and as rpms go up it becomes louder and louder, and if the engine is ran for too long, smoke will start to pour out of the engine.
