Since I got my EGT gauge installed (AUtometer Cobalt) My car has been a little off. My check engine light has been coming on and there have been a few times my car just won't start, sounds almost like a bad alternator or battery, but there's no turning, no clicking, nothing. Just death. Then after a few moments, it starts right up... any suggestions?

sounds like there may have been some shady wiring going on and maybe you bumped/shorted out a wire while installing the gauge

double check everywhere you would've messed around with wires while installing the gague

look for bare wires and tape them off or find out what they are supposed to go to

also if your throwing CELs

get them scanned with a pocket logger/go to advance auto and get them read or something

the bunk thing is i had it done at Slowboy and the minute i said anything to 'em they jumped down my throat saying there's no way installing an EGT gauge would do that! Thanks for the suggestion tho! I'll have to get it checked out!
