hey whats up guys...This thread should probably be in the problem diagnosis forum (im sure it will get moved) but i didnt want neebies answering me...

Ok well my car just started acting up a yesterday. When at wot on any gear but 1st it will reach 4k rpm and will buck and wont go past that (hard to explain but its the best i can do). When not at wot it runs fine so i dont know...
Well before i go on here is my set up...(no im not a newbie)
95 GSX, 6bolt swap, Dsmlink, MAFT set up(2.01 version), 780 cc FIC injectors, Walboro 255lph fuel pump, ported Big16g, Dejon tool race core FMIC kit with blow thru set up.

I have done the following
Fuel cut i dont think it could be cause dsmlink eliminates that and this set up and engine was on my GST for over a year...
replaced the coil pack (hoping that was the prob and i had an extra engine)
the power transistor (extra one)
checked the spark plug gap (tis all good)
checked that all coupler clamps are nice and tight
I still have to run a boost leak test but i have to rig one up..

so um any ideas on what it could be cause as of right now im out of ideas.....
thanks guys..

check the cam position sensor, mine had the same problem, so i replaced that and everything was all better

I had the exact same problem with my 97 gst, i ended up chaning spark plugs, spark plug wires, bov (incase it was leaking), and made sure everything was connected. After none of that helped someone told me to get new spark plus and i told him i already did, but mine were bosch, and bosch are horrible plugs for these engines so i put in NGK plugs and since then it has been smooth sailing, no problems at all. So spend the $15 and get NGK plugs if u don't have them yet.

If you knew it would get moved to problem diagnosis, then why not just post it there originally. Newb responses or not, doesn't justify that. Please post in appropriate forums.

i am having similar problems w/ my 99' gs-t
it will boost to about 8-9 psi and that's it
when i get on it passed 4k rpm it starts to
studder and jerk. any suggestions? i've already
checked for leaks.

Ignition....ignition....ignition. When the car begins to misfire, breakup, stumble, etc the first thing you should do is try new wires and new, properly gapped NGK plugs. If it persists than post about it.

If you are breaking up because of a lean condition due to bad fuel pressure you are in some trouble. Do you have a fuel pressure gauge?
