I was driving and my car showed symtoms of a dead alternator all of assuden.

No alternator charge. I changed the alternator, check all fuses, slwaped out the alternator relay, sitll nothing. I check the wires and the alternator has 12 volts at the terminal, so it is connected to the battery. Do you have any Ideas?

Please help, the colt needs to be at the shootout!

Have you cleaned your battery terminals? Sounds silly, but it they are corroded, may inhibit charging.

Not sure, but, do these cars have an external voltage regulater, or is it internal to the alternator?

Ditto, do what he said. If the terminals are corroded enough, they wont make good contact. Clean them up with a wire brush and put some oil on them which will help prevent that :talon:

Dont feel bad. I wont be able to go to the shootout  Suppost to rain and my car doesnt see rain which i would probably make an exception for but my waterpump just went and wont be able to fix it in time :talon:
