Gas Gauge... help

hey guys,
well my gas gauge sucks . If i fill up my tank it will take like all day to get to the full mark and its really anoying and it seems to be getting worse. is there a bad or rusty connection some where ? any ideas? thanks Cory

Routine stuff on the mighty DSM. Start driving by your tripmeter.

the sending unit in gas tank may be bad just replace it.

The hard part is fiddling with the seal on an old car. Get that part before you start fiddling with it. If you can, try to find a junker you can dick with first, so you'll see what breaks and how.

Cory, the site below is the procedure to remove the fuel pump and access to the fuel sender on a 2G, but it is the same procedure to gain access to the fuel sender:

i looked at autozone to get a price for the sending unit and they don't have them and can't get them, anyone know where i can get one ?

Cory these are your choices to get a working fuel sender unit, go to:
- Chrysler dealer (satan)

- www.msrecycling.com and get a used one.

- NAPA auto parts, Have them source one from the closest store to you.
