i've know for a while that I would need a dowpipe. but a few days ago my car started to get really loud. While with a couple of guys on the highway we started messing around and my car was fine. Then we pulled into the local hangout spot and my car started to idle weird and the engine shoke alot. Then as I was driving the car home I noticed that every once in a while my rpm gauge would just start to rise quickly when I barley tuched the gas and the car also didn't accelerate.
But when I floored the car it operated like normal power wise. Could this just be the busted downpipe or is it another serious problem.

Maybe the leak is making the 02 sensor give wierd values, under WOT the ecu uses values from a table and doesn't use the 02 sensor readings.

Did any wires get fried?

Is your car 100% stock? Have you done anything to it lately?

the only mods I have for my car is k&n filter, dejon tool intake, 190 fuel pump and the free mods
And all of the mods on my car were instaled a while before this problem started

No the wires aren't fried

i just wanted to make sure I wasn't ever looking any other problem I'm just gonna order a downpipe today and hope that fixes the problem
:D

Ok Now I've gotten my downpipe on and my idle is still the same which is at 500-700rpm.
my engine shakes alot at idle and there seems to be a big power loss at some times
we've checked the turbo and no shaft play but I guess when I got my downpipe there was alot of white smoke comming out of my exuast.

Could this be a blow headgasket or something else
