Earlier this week I posted about my intake being wholly coated in nasty oil...someone suggested I check my turbo for shaft play. I took all my intake piping off, degreased it, my lil 14b has almost zero shaft play. I noticed my breather line from my valve cover to my intake was leaking all the sludge, I pulled the line off and blocked the intake nipple with a bolt and some RTV; I took a large pill bottle drilled a few holes for breathing near the lid and ran the breather hose thru a hole I drilled in the lid and thru a piece of pipe insulation foam(filter) and zip tied the bottle to part of my wiring harness by the CAS above my shift cables. I cleaned all of my intake except the side mount IC, and I put it all back together really, really tight. After driving I was blown away :D @ first, my turbo was so much louder than before and spoolup was really quick, I must have had some pretty large boost leaks (as my logs indicate)...Problem #1:a little further down the road, I'd put my foot in it, it'd spool then kinda buck a little like it's missing (my plugs are 3 week old NGK BPR6ES and my wires are the blue NGK that are 5 months old) should I change plugs anyway?

Problem #2: My idle is crap again It ranges from 1000 rpm to stalling and dieing, I put a BISS in 2 months ago and adjusted it with the timing plug grounded and my logger cable plugged in.....;did my removal of the crankcase breather from the intake as mentioned above cause this problem with my idle? Should I readjust my BISS?

Thanx in advance for the education

how much boost are you making? is the stutter actually fuel cut? cause i was doing that and backed it from 18lbs to 15... problem solved. back the boost down a little... as for the idle, i couldn't tell ya =/

this is a follow up to this:

I built the leak tester on vfaq.com but I couldn't build any pressure in the intake so I pulled out the soapy water spray, spayed all my boost/ic fittings...was my damn J pipe gasket, there's a little brass flange that was sandwiched between the J pipe and the turbo outlet and the flange cut the gasket. I called Chrysler for a new one, they were closed called al around town for that gasket and ended up making one out of black RTV(i let it cure for 24 hrs before I boosted). Turbo is quiet again, the bucking is gone and with all my boost fitting nice and tight i think this is the best my car has ever idled :thumb:
thanx tuners and VFAQ!!!
