Hey i have this problem where my car is constantly overheating and losing it's coolant. I have just done a coolant flush and re-fill thinking it was low, 3 days ago. Now my coolant is almost gone and my overflow bottle was like 1/2 full Bubbling, while there was a constant drip out from the other side of the overflow bottle. When i took off the radiator cap it was like a steam show for about 60-90 seconds. I have a Cometic Metal headgasket and ARP Head studs. No apparent leak on the ground! What is my problem?? Someone says i have a blown headgasket but no signs of it. Coolant is clear of oil, no black smoke, does sound like i have an exhaust leak, but that is what i thought was my missing O2 Bolt that i broke off while trying to remove the stud. HELP!!
PS-I have been through almost 1 1/2 quarts of coolant in 3days.

i had the same problem in my 94 AWD Car and it was the head gasket but I was not running a metal gasket. My car had no water in the oil but the head gasket was clearly bad. me and my buddies could not see or find where the water was going. You still might what to check the head gasket you may have a bad seal.

Well Im kinda in the same boat. Im not overheating but constantly having to add more water/coolant. I installed a few parts and started the car in the garage checkin things out and what not. The next day I walk out and notice a big puddle of coolant. Its coming from somewhere near the oil cooler, side oil case. Havent gotten down there to check it out yet. But you might want to check that out.

I have the same problem and the same setup. Cometic Head Gasket and ARP studs. I too can not find a leak and do not have coolant in the oil.
Any luck finding the leak?

Thanks

If no leak in hoses, thermostat, water pump, etc (get a coolant pressure tester from Sears to find them - you will be glad you have one for the rest of your life believe me - it's my most used tool), and oil and coolant look normal, then you may be leaking through blown head gasket (and out exhaust valve) or blown turbo seals which uses coolant for cooling. Usually you will see white smoke out exhaust on hard acceleration for this. Also check tail pipe for extra wetness.
