2G Rough Idle!

every time i start my car it seems to cam or have a rough idle until warm or when i press the gas. even if i drive it all day then let the timer run it starts this rough idle. i replaced all spark plugs. i am guessing it is the distributor but just thought i would see what others thought 1st.

My car idles rough, expecially at night with the lights on, I have replaced the distributor, plugs, and have a red top Optima battery. . . none of them cured the rough idle. I am pretty much sol for having a smooth idle. I dont want to dump any more time at such a trivial issue.

What RPM does it idle at?

This can be caused by the EGR failing open. Put on a blockoff (make it from a tuna can lid for testing purposes) and see if it fixes it.

You have an electronic ignition with no distributer.

my 2g idles at between 850-890 rpm with no lights on, with headlights on it dips to about 820-860, and with AC on, well it is very low (maybe 800 at best).
