I don't know what the problem is with my DSM and i hope someone can shed some light on this. When i Boost the car and i'm on it full or almost full throttle the car kinda bucks or studders. If you watch the boost gauge it will hit 15psi and when the engine studders the Boost drops to 13 then 12 until you let off. Is this Fuel cut? If not can some please help! I have the stock turbo and i'm using a Turbosmart MBC. Thanks for the input guys.

it could be that or your plugs. i'd check your plugs 1st. which one's are you using and what gap do you have them set at?

scott

ALWAYS check if your plugs/wires are up to par and do a boost leak test. you can find that at VFAQ.com

and no it's not fuel cut.. fuel cut is not a studder , but rather a violent SLAMMING INTO THE MOTHER F-ING WALL kinda thing

oh and where is your boost source for the MBC? its best to tee from the mani - BOV line

goodluck

its your wires bro, i had the same problem, i had old magnacores on there and threw on some brand new NGK wires and OMG what a difference, just like driving a new car.

Honestly i haven't had my car for long and i'm getting ready to do a complete tune up. i suspected plugs and wires but i wanted some other opinions before i shell out some money for very nice plugs and wires. I was thinking of Magnacore wires and Denso iriduim plugs. Any thoughts on these? Thanks again.

no nono.. since you're new at DSMs i wont flame you. do yourself a favor and read some of the FAQ stuff here on tuners, very educational.

choice wires:
8.5/10mm accel wires
" magnecores
" NGKs

choice plugs [ a MUST ]
NGK BPR6ES plugs for stock/lightly modded
NGK BPR7ES plugs for lightly/heavily modded
" 8 for CRAZY modded LOL

any good tuner here will offer them at a good price, i just picked up my wires from prostreetonline.com

How much do those plugs run? can i pick them up at Advanced auto parts or pep boys, i drive by them almost everyday and it would be a quick stop so i didn't have to order them. I know i have to order the wires because there is a lack of performance stores here.. Thanks for the info.

i've never seen a local store [ pepboys/autozone/etc] carry NGK bpr6es.. they always carry the NGK6EKN or something like that. if you're going to order the plugs online, mind as well order the plugs too. that way you know you're getting the right ones.

wires usually run 50-80 depends on what brand/width you get. and plugs usually run 10-14 bucks

the dealer should have the plugs if you're getting the 6's. just make sure you get the right part number though. they also carry a dual prong plug that you DON'T want. gap them at .028

maybe get some accels or something for the wires. i have magnecors and about ready to trash them. and if you search about magnecors, i'm sure you'll see enough people who have problems with them. mine are maybe 2 months old and they're about to be new trash. laters!

I got the plugs today, but i need to install them now. If anyone needs plugs i have a extra set and can get them easy. I have a extra set of the bpr7es so pm if you want them.

Put in the plugs today and no more studdering under full boost! the car drives like a champ now. Thanks for the help guys.
