Amongst many problems, I decided to take my car into the shop. Diagnosis, torn flex pipe and shot motor mounts. Now, I feel like the guy I'm going to is very shady, because he is telling me the only place he can get the mounts from is Mitsubishi, he says none of his other suppliers carry them. I know whatever the part is, it's going to cost a bundle more from Mitsubishi than they would any other supplier. Could somebody point me in the direction to get all new motor mounts for my 1995 Eclipse GST? I think I'll buy the parts, and take it to a different shop to have the work done. Thanks in advance.

I work at Autozone and if I remember right we can not get motor mounts for DSM's. If you do not want to go with anything after market (such as prothane motor mounts), I would buy the motor mounts from www.partznet.com they are genuine mitsu parts. When you speak w/ them on the phone let them know you are a club dsm member and they will give you a discount over the regular discount. For the front mount it should be around $43. I would give them a call at 800-845-0999

Prothane motor mounts. Cheaper, and effective at reducing wheel hop. I'm sure some of the site sponsors carry them!

I read about the Prothane mounts, and had all but ordered them, when I saw that they required the stock front and rear mounts to be intact and untorn. Is this true?
