Well I recently broke my alternator belt on the highway. I replaced it and I didnt tighten it up enough (it sqeaks). Well since I replaced the belt Ive had an odd stalling problem. It has a rough idle and stalls when I put it in gear or hit the brake sometimes. After I drive the car for a while it runs fine. No stalling, rough idle or anything. It idles at about 650rpm when I start it then up to 850-900 when its warm.

Could my loose belt be a problem? Its tight enough where my power steering works fine. Maybe I should adjust my idle?

Thanks for the help guys.

Thats only when I first start it and its running rough. When it warms up its at 900

anyone else. im going to tighten my belt today and try it after that. If not im going to raise the idle slightly
