We tried to do a dyno day about a year ago. It was more of a dyno challenge, to call out all the fastest 4g powered cars in the bay area. But there was not enough interest. None of the other shop or any bay area guys felt like stepping up to the challenge. It'd be hard to do just a DSM dyno day, it would most likely have to be a DSM/EVO day. I'd love to do it end of September or early October, I know a few fast cars are going to be done by then. We'll see how this goes, we'll start a new thread about it.

sounds great!
By no means did i mean that it had to be a dsm dyno day, it could be an evo/dsm meet, so more than 5 people will actually show up!! haha

Didn't see you out there bro?

I guess I showed up too late. I only saw one other DSM, a bone stock looking red non-turbo 2g. Good thing I brought my daughter with me, we played at the beach for a little bit. So the trip wasn't a complete waist, just mostly.

I spent my day getting my rolling chassis ready to sell, and it sold! And then I spent the rest of the day waiting for a tow truck to come so I could get the car to FFTEC and start ripping it apart more =]

There's a NorCalEvo dyno day happening on the 30th of this month at GST. It might be a while before you can get all those evo's to sign up for another dyno day.
Not saying it won't happen, just letting you know that trying to set up a similar event close to that one might be a recipe for failure if you're wanting evo's out there. Although, this thread is full of fail already...

Agreed +1, I was visiting your work last week, I called you when I was getting lunch at the cafe but you didn't hear me.

Don't feel bad guys. That's how it is out here too usually. DSM owners tend to be just as reliable as their cars these days. Don't depend on many (if any) showing up to any track events, dyno days, meets, etc. It just doesn't happen anymore. Even the ones who have running cars tend to flake. The biggest turnout I ever saw out in Norcal when I was organizing meets was about 10 cars, and most of them needed a good amount of TLC.
There doesn't seem to be enough passion, enthusiasm, and/or pride in the Norcal DSM scene to support having meets anymore.
