recommend a OBD2 code reader please.

Can anyone recommend a good cheap obd2 code reader so I can reset and check my Engine light that has been on.

before i got my datalogger i got to know the mechanic at mitsu(during oil changes) and he would check it for me for free. one question do u have a cat. on the car?

Right now the car is full stock. But ive already put down 300 on a turbo back and im paying the last 300 next pay day and he will have the exhaust system ready for me, and I want to find out whats wrong before I put the system on. Oh and the turbo back has a test pipe and so ill be getting rid of the cat.

i think autozone can check your codes for you for free, not sure about clearing them though?

Thats what I thought as well, so I spent an hour driving to 2 differant ones and they said they arnt allowed to do that anymore, Sucks for me and they said the only one they had for sale was 150 bucks, shit i might as well just get a pocketlogger for that price.

Just invest on a pocketlogger... I invested $150 total for a used palm (ebay), free palm'n'stein software and t16-03 multiplex cable. You'll be able to log, know what triggers the CEL and clear them.
