Whos seen the Pocketdyno?

So there is an application for the iphone and itouch and im not sure if anyone has seen it. Its called pocketdyno. It seems to be interesting and for a free app i figured why not try it out. It tells you est. horsepower and 1/4 mile times and a couple other things, who knows how accurate it really is but, I just downloaded it and if the roads are dry i am going to test this out ASAP. Here is the link to check it out yourself...Pocketdyno

So what do you guys think?

I'm guessing it has something to do with the iPhone's internal G sensor and probably requires an accurate vehicle weight, kind of similar to the HP calculators which use your 1/4 ET and trap speed.

I don't no how this one works yet....i just found it tonite and live in Michigan and we got snow... ha ha so idk how soon i will be able to try it. But you have to add in the dimensions and other factors, and if you buy the full thing for like 5 bucks i guess u can calculate your weight in... I'm gonna test this one first, if you goto the website it shows a real track run next to the iphones record using the full version. (Supposedly)

I've heard of it, but I understand Dynolicious is far more accurate.

I was goin to try out the Dynolicious program for my iPhone until I got Jan. edition of Import Tuner where they did a Fact or Fiction test on it, and they ran it through the paces, and when it was all said and done they gave it a plausible. So it may be fun just to mess around with but don't take it serious at all for the most.

add vehicle wait and drivetrain loss. then make you mod list, set it in the cup holder or wherever stationary and click go, launch your car and just keep going, it goes by g force and calculates it like that, and it has a G force thing also.

Pocketdyno has been around for a long time. It works with a palm aswell. I dont know the history behind who mad it but it is a cool loogging program. I first used it with a early edition of DS-map. Not sure if Nick was the creator or not but it works pretty well. I dont know if any actual Dyno comparisons were done with it but it is still pretty cool. You can find it if you look hard enough.
