first off hey im new to this site my names brian im new to dsms also... here we go first i noticed one day i was over heating a little saw that antifreeze was low so i put some in and about a week and a half later it was low again as this was happening i notice when i drive and let off the gas the car jerks like its missfiring. i just did a compression test and here it is starting with 4th cyl. to 1st. 140psi,120 psi, 110 psi, 120 psi..

please let me know what you guys think im thinking BHG soon? like i said im new and im trying to learn thanx alot everyone

**** just added and everything with my charging system is fine and when i let it idle it bogs out***

the compression service limit is 120. Does you car smoke heavily white smoke?

i really i heard it 145. and no white smoke that i have noticed just a very very small amount when i rev it

What do your plugs look like? Any funny smells when you hit boost ?

there a little black and the tip and white, and ya there is a little weird smell to it when i hit boost

I think it may be time for a headgasket bud. Is the smell a sweet smell? Are you familiar with the smell of wastegate?120psi is the sevice limit just to confirm that. Do you mean that the ceramic insulator is black, but the tip is white?Does the white almost look like it's built up on the plug tip?

Water + oil= white.

so do you think its the headgasket.. i heard dsms suck but i wanted one i had a supra before this

ya i was thinking headgasket to just wanted people who new more about dsms to kinda confirm it LOL and thanx for clearing the service limit up with me. and it is a sweet smell and no sorry not sure about the wastegate smell

OK. I just wanted to be sure that you werent smelling wastegate instead of antifreeze. They are two completely different smells though. When you put that headgasket on pick up a set of ARP headstuds. They are about 90 bucks, and you will need them if you wanna make power. I would also recommend a dsm oem headgasket unless you are going to have machining done to the head, and block. A little copper spray on the stock headgasket with some arp's, and you will good to go:thumb:

thanx alot man you helped out alot.

the headgasket has to be the problem. If not you still need to pull the head to fix bent valves or the piston rings. What ever is giving you bad compression needs to be fixed.

ya im just gonna pull the head and replace the HG and see if its better is there a sound that a bent valve would make would i be able to spot it when i take it off? and say it was the piston ring would i also be able to spot that or is it something that would just have to be replaced

thanx for the help and sorry for all the damn questions haha

Head gasket for sure. If i were you, instead of dealing with a dirty head, i would still take it to get machined, and cleaned, its pretty cheap. I think i paid 140 for my valves to be taken out, and the seals redone, and the head to be redecked. Plus there is nothing better then putting a sparkling head on. :)

Well i can say that if you had bent valves your compression would be around zero in the cylinder(s) with bent valves. I doubt you have any bent valves. As far as the rings/pistons, and cylinder walls you will be able to see if there is anything wrong. Glad i could help;)

**** Thanx To Everyone For All The Advice And Help I Came To The Conclusion Im Gonna Obv. Do The Headgasket And Have It Machined And All That Good Stuff> ****

cool. you could just rebuild it for about 400 more.

really please explain haha

Yes the ceramic insulator is black and the tip does have a little build up.
