Greetings Earthlings

Its great to have a site like this. I am looking forward to learning about the DSM cars. I am in the process of purchasing the AWD TSi thats in my profile. This seems like a great pool of experience to learn from. I currently have 0 knowledge about these vehicles but am a sponge and looking to learn. I am still in Iraq and can't wait to get home to my new ride. If anyone has a chance check out my profile and let me know what you think about what I am getting. Thanks for the opportunity to join the community.

Hello all. I'm a "newbie" here. My name is Brian. I just sold my 2000 Camaro SS. I was looking to get out of payments, and into something that's fun and gets decent mileage. So that brought me to the DSM world. I've already done tons of reading and learning a whole lot.

My former Camaro was a full bolt on/cam only car. Her best ET was 11.98 and her best MPH was 115mph. It was an auto car with a 3400 stall and got 13 mpg city! .

I got my eye on a local GSX, and I'm sure I'll be posting here and there with updates and advice!

I've had my 90 GSX for over 10 years and I would not trade that car for anything. The 1G turbo cars have so much potential.

What are your plans for the car?

Not really new

Hey, I'm not really new to DSM's but I've been mostly a lurker in the forums for a long while and I figured I'd post a "hello".
I've had a '96 Eclipse RS (420a) that I bought from a salvage auction and restored. I won't get into extreme detail here but some of the modifications were; converted A/T to M/T, replaced valve seals, cleaned intake and throttle body, as well as all of the other routine items, brakes, oil, tires, stereo, etc.
I recently sold that car and bought a mint '99 GSX in bone stock condition and that's what I'm working with now, luv this ride, once you go AWD you can't go back.

Big time boosted 3800 guy here. Ended up putting a supercharged 3800 into my fiero and running all over in the 12's on and off nitrous with a STOCK motor (there are lots of mods for these motors). i think I only had one or 2 runs that were not 12's, as this car gets VERY good traction, running 1.7/1.8 60' consistently on street tires, and 1.9's if I get into it to hard and spin. RWD > AWD baby!

I ran across a HX35 holset turbo and have been living on the turbo tech board for the last few weeks learning about the ins and outs of these things.

Hey- GM F-Body owner here. Looking at buying a 1st-gen Talon and am around to ask a few questions before I get too into it.

Mechanical history is limited to Chevrolet cars and I've never owned a car with fewer than 8 cylinders, so this is all new ground for me and quite interesting.

Hows it going everyone? I'm new here to the forum. I joined i guess a little over a month ago and have been reading alot on the forums and also on the newbie forums. I'm from Hendersonville, TN. Well anyways, I have a 1991 Eagle Talon TSi AWD. Its an automatic but its all good. I'm trying to work out some kinks on it but it should be in good shape soon. Well I hope to learn alot more from this forum.
