Well now, I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Shane. I'm 24 from Southern Illinois. I have a black 96 Talon TSi AWD. I am in the process of putting together an engine for my car. I still need to find a better turbo, but in due time. I also love working on cars, engines, computers, electronics, etc. Well I guess that is about it for now.

New to DSM's
Hey everyone, I just want to say hi and thank you in advance for all of the help. I just bought my first DSM, so there is going to be a big learning curve. I figured with the gas prices, I would try a build on a 4 cyl and leave my V8's in the garage. Thank's again and I look foward to talking to all of you.

Is this still open for Intro's?
I just joined, but I've had a DSM since January 2007 and never even knew what it was. Needless to say, I'm excited and have spent the entire week lost in cyber space trying to soak up as much information as possible. I'm happy to have found a community of people who I can share my interest with.
Long story short... My clutch went out and while my husband was out there getting his hands dirty, I was in here looking for more parts and information and stumbled through the doorway into this amazing world. I'm giddy with excitement and somewhat regret not knowing sooner what my car is. If it doesn't show up on the side there, it's a 1993 Eagle Talon ES and has no mods that I am aware of (unless you count the hackjob on the steroe system from a previous owner).
I will post pics this weekend when the weather clears, and I look forward to spending many happy days here. It's great to meet everyone and thank you for letting me be a part of your world!
(Maybe a little too happy... lol)

Whats goin on everyone. I'm Ryan, I'm 21, from Streamwood which is right outside Schaumburg/Woodfield. Just got my 98 Eclipse GS. Its an automatic, good ol 420 motor. Got it from my sister for practically nothing, so I joined to learn a little more about these cars. (yes its missing a side mirror I know :P )
Heres a2 pics I just took. I haven't detailed the engine yet but I washed the outside including taking the wheels off and cleaning the rims front and back and the fenderwells.

Hello, I have been a member here for quite some time I just never posted anything I would just read but I figured I would take the time now to introduced myself.
I am chris I am 18 and this is my first ever DSM
It is a 91 talon TSI with 120xxx miles on the body/tranny and 35k on a motor rebuild.
When I got it it had a Bra on it, ugly pin striping, no drivers door handle, no mirrors, and the windows weren't tinted. I also have added a 2 10" kicker CVRs with a 7" Valor Touch Screen.
Here are some pictures of my car.
Tell me what you think.

Introduction
Hey all, whats goin on....
To be honest, i've been a member of dsmtuners for a while (...and 2gnt before this). I had a 97 gs back in the day, and after selling it off i really didn't have much of a need to be on 2gnt, but now i find myself behind the business end of a 95 TSI. So i'll be on these forums quite a bit, reading, posting, looking for advice, ect. But i just wanted to stop in... say hi... So if anyone sees a forest green talon on 17" 5 spokes in the detroit area.. its me
So aside from the intro, these are my first requests.
1. I want the caps program, yet i run a mac... i'm assuming the caps program hasn't been ported to run on a mac... and only windows. BUT if this is not the case, pointing me in the right direction would be fantastic.
2. I'm very new to the turbo 6 bolt motor, so any specific / stock specs that anyone might have would be great....
thanks in advance
James

Hello, I'm Robb and I just joined this site because I currently have a 91' Mitsubishi Eclipse non-turbo that I recieved as a graduation present from a family friend. This car sat on their farm for about 5 years and I fell in love with it when I first saw it about four years ago. The paint is in very bad shape and there is a bit of rust down by the wheel wells in the rear, along with a few dents in the doors but overall the exterior is in ok shape. The interior is immaculate, there are no rips or tears in the seats and there are no cracks in the dash. The car runs and sounds great I just need to get new brakes and tires for it and I will probably have to have the engine rebuilt soon. I have been meaning to start working on this car for a year but I never had the money or the time. Now that I work full time, I have decided to start up on this project finally. I do not have pictures of the car yet, as I do not have a digital camera but I will try to get some pictures up soon. I also have two other vehicles, my daily driver is a 92' Mazda Protege which is my first car and I really enjoy driving it. The other one is an 82' Dodge Rampage which looks like a small but really ugly El Camino that needs a good amount of work. Anyways I hope to learn a lot about my Eclipse here.
