My name is Chris and i guess that i am a noob . I came across this site when searching for information regarding the MHI TE06-24V turbo. Originally I was only planning on posting on the thread where they were discusing it but since I'm new I guess that isn't possible.

MHI TE06 24V turbo
Compressor (50trim) = inducer- 55mm exducer- 77mm
TD06H exhaust wheel
FP ported 7cm exhaust housing machined for TD06H wheel
It is a genuine MHI turbo complete with a part number (49185-01523). It isn't watercooled like most MHI's and has Garrett style feed/drain flanges. The center cartridge isn't clocked correctly in that pic because that is when i first mocked it up. It may have some dirty fingerprints on it but it is actually new and set me back only 650$ shipped from Japan. I believe that this turbo was designed to replace the 25G and originally was put on some large diesel truck. I hope to squash the FP green

The Green is simply a 50-trim Garrett wheel shoved into a 20G compressor cover. It is built to suit a certain requirement as far as efficiency is concerned. I'm sure if FP thought your 24V would've been a better model to base the Green around, they would've done so.
Basically what I'm saying is you're comparing two turbos that may provide two different spool characteristics and powerbands. The Green's compressor wheel is rated at 700cfm, while yours is rated at 800 under a much larger cover. I could sit here all day and post things like "I hope to squash a 14B with a TD05H 20G!!!!" but no one would respond because they'd think I'm retarded.

Well both the Green and the 24V are 50 trims and both use td06h exhaust wheels. The 24v is just 2mm bigger all around on the compressor. I only compare it to the green because that is what i consider it closest to. This turbo isn't a straight up bolton turbo like the green because it requires waterpipe modification due to its larger compressor cover. Between having a 2mm larger inducer/exducer and a map width enhancement groove it should serve the green badly. I doubt FP really cares because they have the 3052 and 3065 and the 24V can't touch those. Hybrids are pretty old in the grand sceme of things. This is just the next step beyond the 20g. Post this info in the general forum and see how many people are interested....
I'm just comparing a MHI turbo to a hybrid of nearly the same size. I don't think i sound like the retarded one....

Hi all,
New to the forum and new to DSM's. In fact, I haven't bought one yet but I'm in the market for a 1G AWD for ice racing. Just checking the site for best preventative maintenance practices and mild power upgrades.
Thanks.

Greetings from Bulgaria!
I'm Leo - 26 years old from Sofia, Bulgaria. I drive an European 1999 Eclipse GS. They come with Non-Turbo 7bolt 4g63. Here in Europe the turbo DSMs are very rare as well as the engines. Well that engine got totaled so now I am doing an 1g motor swap (4g63 turbo). I think my engine is 6 bolt. I bought it yesterday and still haven't removed the clutch yet.
I solute everybody for being part of this great forum! DSM Rules!

Ay wussup 4g37nonturbo, It would be a pita to try and turbocharge a 1.8l. It is possible to swap the motor, but the money you spend doing the swap, you could easily sell the car and buy a turbo eclipse. Especially one with AWD

Hey guys My name is John Collins and I have been a member of this forum for some time now and I've never officially introduced myself. I'm 21 years old and I drive a 97 mitsubishi eclipse gst, it's my third dsm. I really have learned a great deal about my car from searching around these forums and I would like to start contributing to this site more frequently and figured a good place to start would be right here.

Not new to DSM's.. my 2nd one.
I got rid of my 1st gs-t because it was half assed/hacked/half assed when I had gotten it. I got tired of tracking down stuff and figured one day I might find one that was stock so I knew what was/wasent done to it. Well, today was that day.
Just got a gsx.
Anyhow yea, im new here..
