Hello. I'm Jamaal.
I've had my 1990 eagle talon tsi for about 6 months now. Never been running right but I'm almost there. (isn't everyone )
I'm 22, got my dsm cause i was looking for cheap speed and figured my daily driven accord wouldn't cut it.
So here i am....
The car is mostly stock right now, minus an air filter and my clutch(act xtreme). I've got big plans in store for it with an eventual switch to a 2nd gen eclipse gsx.
That's about it

Hello, I'm not really new here but I haven't posted much in six months that I have been reading the forums and found out that I can't post in the advanced forums. Do i have to have a certain amount of posts before I get to do so? Great site and keep up the good work!!

Let me first introduce myself. For the last 5 yrs I have driven a Honda and I must say I was very disappointed to spend upwards of $5000-$6000 and still be in a slow car. Then recently drove my friends Eclipse GST (bone stock), and fell in love with the DSM right away. I'll be buying an 95 Eagle Talon TSI, FWD, auto this weekend. Pics and mods should come pretty quick.

My name is Rich, I own a 98' GSX. I unfortunatly blew the engine 2 weeks after owning it and have since rebuilt the bottom end, installed full coil overs, replaced the front/rear transfercases and nearly all other components which have any relevance to performance. As most can attest this is a perpetual project. I am currently waiting on a new transmission from IPT.

Yo
whats up, my name is mike. i just got into dsms because of my friend owning a 1G GSX. well i just bought a 1990 Laser Rs it is N/T but it will be turbo soon.. it does not run yet haha. but i been workin on it steady. it needs a new computer, and i think it also has a dead cylinder seeing that the compression on my #3 cylinder is only 60... i have already lowered it and put a full body kit on it. you guys wish me luck... i might need it.
if any one is interested i also have a 1984 H.O Z28 with a built motor in it. with ever thing from oversize cams to ported and polished heads and intake to msd ignition.
well i guess im done introducing my self.. i hope to become a regular on the dsm forums!

New member here.
I just bought a 98 gsx about a month ago. I had a honda civic for 2 years and put 60k miles on it with no problems before I bought the eclipse. I could say for fact my civic had better reliability but less power, I custom turbod it and pushed about 200whp. I know the civic wouldve beat this gsx, but I had to do so much stuff to get 200whp out of an economy 1.7 liter. I bought gsx because I want to run more power without the damn tires smoking everytime. My eclipse wouldve been modded right now but since I put the money to matinence instead of horsepower, I will have to wait for the power im looking for.
Since then, I have done the whole t-belt service including the cover. I did oil change, replaced tranny fluid and the rear differential fluid, replaced oil dipstick, fixed reverse light, it ended up being the sensor on the tranny, cleaned throttle body, fixed my damn sunroof from banging the chasis, replaced fog lights. What I really want to fix is the creaking sound coming from the back. THe car came with tokico shocks and eibach springs, since then I bought a camber kit and installed it, and then did an alignment afterward I spent about 700 in parts for this but since I do have some knowledge I did most the work and saved on labor.
There is still so much more things I can learn from this site.
Forgot to mention since I got the dsm I pulled over numerous times to strangers to talk about the car they admire=X, with my sleeper turbo civic I never had one incident where someone wanted to see the car even though it had good power for the weight.
