We'll I just got done with my first teardown of the head on a 90gsx and afrer I fixed everythign and put it all back together I still have the same problem. The problem was a hole in the block so I ordered a new engine already bored .20 0ver shaved head balance shaft removed and all the other little goodies. My only question is this. I want to do all the stage 1 mods on dsm tuners and also add bigger injectors and lightwheel flywheel with my act 2600. I was just wanting some suggestions on a blow off valve, what size injectors, and about how much hp this should make. I don't want a track car just a fun fast car with pretty good zip and can lay it on stock v8's and hondas LOL. Also please keep in mind I need this car to be dependable as I drive it everyday and also what would be a safe boost setting. Parts im purchasing are act 2600 clutch and flywheel, mbc, turbo timer, intake pipe and filter, either turboback exhaust or carback with down pipe ported 02 housing and cat converter, boost gauge with air ruel ration also any other suggestions are greatly appreciated looking forward to reading your opinions thanks, dewayne

in my opinion turbo timers are a waste of money surley you can sit there in there car for a minute while it cools off , plus it doest do any thing for power, hence bang for your buck,or maybe this is bling for your buck.

I LOVE my turbo timer. Precisely because it takes the guess work out of timing down. If you're running the car hard, the timer automatically figures out how long the car needs to cool down. You don't take any chances with it. Also, it gets boring sitting in your car and counting in your head waiting for it to time down. It's so much easier to just lock it and walk away.

ok well back on subject, I would recomend 650cc injectors. theyl handle everything your 16g can throw at it. also I would look into a fmic or at least bigger hard pipes. I am running nearly the same setup on my car the only difference is i wish i would have thrown down on the 650s instead of the 550's. That is if you end up with the 16g. best of luck

Well you dont want to run more than stock boost without fuel control. 650's are good as long as you have a way to compensate for them. Either an eprom with custom burned chip or dsmlink.

A SAFC is good but cant handle much more than 550's on a 1g. 650's would cause your timing to pull so high you will just fight it trying to get rid of knock. Thats why I went with 550's and a safc for easier tuning. Im going with some meth injection to compensate for small injectors. My brother made 300whp on his 550's running around 72% injector duty. He turned boost from 17 to 21psi and was hitting about 79% so they hold up pretty well.

Also a FMIC or meth will be needed to lower that intake charge temp. On the BOV I would just go with a stock 1g bov. It will handle all the boost you will make for a while.

So pretty much some type of fuel control is needed to run those injectors, not just a SAFC, also a fuel pump would be a good idea. 190lph would be enough for the 16g and you wouldnt need a fuel regulator.

On the turbo timer, if the turbo is oil and water cooled you really dont need to cool it at all. Just keep it easy for a mile or so before you shut it off.

So if I just get the 16g the 550 injectors a safc and 190 fuel pump fmic I should be alright. Also what would be a safe boost level for this setup. Remember I need this car as a daily driver not a track slut LOL just want something people will respect I used to be in the body kits and look stage now im all for performance!!!! Thanks for all the reply's guys keep them coming.

safe would be anywhere between 10-18psi. Maybe higher. I've been running 15psi for a while now with no issues, but when I upped it to 19 Im having issues, and righ tnow my cr isnt running. You do have alot more mods then me though, so 15-20 should be a good range.
