To be honest with you I don't really know.
This thread has been primarily about the 2g short route fmic kit and the older 1g short route fmic kit. The one you purchase hasn't been very popular do to it's ridiculously long piping.

i think i know what kit your talking about as i have the same kind with the one long pipe with a hook bend? ive installed this kit on two different 1g,s as far as i can tell the t-bolt clamps that came witht he kit work great, and the only problem i had with the hoses where some were the wrong size, as for the fake tial bov,, i would say put it on,, try it and if it works great if not toss it and buy a real one. if you wanna see install pics give me a message. hope that helps.....

1ghaaaaaw would you also be willing to share your install pics with me? I also have this same 1G kit and I'm looking for any help I can get with installing this kit (the one with the excessively long piping), as most of the threads refer to the 2G kit.
jorge4g63, how's your install going?

yeah ebay front mounts are nice and pipes are good too. only one problem with long pipe. it was like to short. this is for a 1g by the way. so all i did is was take a 2g stock upper intercooler pipe. it like worked perfect. put some t-bolts on them and bam. this is the lower pipe.has anyone else had this problem???

I thought I remembered Illeclipse saying something to that effect, but I don't think it worked out that way.

Yeah The Crash Beam On 1g,s Tend To Get In The Way,, I Just Removed It , Less Added Weight Lol Sometimes You Can Just Notch It To Fit Up The Fmic And Still Have 80% Of Your Bar Left, We Just Did It On A 90 Worked Out Good, Seems Like The Pipes Tho Never Fit Perfact , You Have To Trim A Little Here And There But Over All For The Price Its Works Great.

I'm looking into buying an Ebay intercooler and I'm leaning twards the SSAC 1g kit with its "unnecessary long piping". But are there any other good ebay/cheap kits that don't have ridiculously long piping that are proven to be able to handle the test of time?
