Chad is a great guy. Whophlungpoo got his dynoed there and he hopes to go back soon to get his done again now that he is on E-85. What time on thursday will you get it tuned. I have the day off I might meet you there to watch the beast. I know he doesn't do much till later in the evening due to the fact that he has a regular profession other than tuning. Wish I could have gotten in on the dyno day they had a couple weeks ago. 3 pulls for $50. It's pretty much the only place local that has an AWD dyno.

Does he do dsmlink? After I get my new setup done, I'm going to be in desperate need of someone that can tune my car.

I still have to set a time, but it will be after 5pm.

It's not going to be much of a beast, lol, I'm hoping for 320-350whp.

I'm not sure if he is familiar with DSMLink.

I just got back from Nopi in St Louis, which was awesome, and I realized I'm going to be out of town the 23rd.

Went to the Dyno with Whophlungpoo with his '92 TSi on Monday night. He made 366 AWHP and 383 ft/lbs of Torque on 20 psi with his 18g on E-85 tuned to about a 11.8:1 AFR. Not bad. Chad says our tune was about dead on. He only had to make some very minor adjustments.

He actually has a major boost leak at his j-pipe and he was trying to hold 25psi but it would just not hold it due to the boost leak. We will seal that up and try tuning it some more.

Can't wait to see this thing at the track. I'm almost more interested in everyone else's times than my own!! It's weird what happens when you start working on someone else's car!

Those are some nice numbers. I've thought about E85, I just can't seem to find any stations around that carry it. What are you guys tunning with?

I'll be on the dyno tomarrow at 530pm. I think I'm going to hold off on the actuall tuning. I want to turn my boost up but I have the stock gauge which doesn't read over 22 and I guess their dyno can't map boost either. Plust I have a tuner from Colorado that has been helping me get started and he's interested in seeing how much hp I'm making with his maps. So I'm going keep it a little conservative and make a couple pulls with the maps got. Still hoping for low/mid 300's.

Hey I got to Modified by KC at 8:00 and there was a blue Evo on the Dyno. Was that yours? Chad and I watched the boost gauge get to 15psi and the clutch just slipped. The dyno proved it was the clutch cause the power shot up to 250hp and then just dropped off. Not sure if that was you that came later while the truck was on the dyno and picked the car up. Anyway, hope all goes well with the clutch install.

Nope, not me. You just missed me. I got there at 5:30, on the dyno around 6:30 and off by 7:30.

They had some issues with the tach lead so I never got a torque reading but hp I made 329whp. I'm just under 22psi with it tapering to around 20psi and the AFR's dipped into the 10's around 5k, so, I still have some room to inmporve with a little more boost and some more tuning. I'm still running the maps from a tuner in CO.

But for now, I'm ready for the track!

A buddy of mine here at k-state told me about this thread. Him and I might try to make it to KCIR and meet up with you guys. I probably wont be able to bring my talon though cause the transfer case locked up and broke off at my output shaft.

Check this company out - Aluminum Tubing

They are in Excelsior Springs so the shipping is fast and cheap. They are a major supplier so the price for the tubing is pretty cheap as well. They should be able to get you what ever you need to piece the pipes together and then have them welded. For example, for my 2G I bought a 6'stick of 2 1/2", (1) 45* bend and (2) 90* bends for the short route pipes.

Scott at Modified could weld them or Andrew at Executive Performance.

Awesome!! I'll probably do that then. Looks pretty cheap. Didn't know we had anything like that so close. Excelsior Springs, I'd probably just drive up there and pick it up.

Damn i'm going to be the only FWD car there?/? That sucks Oh well, no worries i'll just borrow someone's t-case and tranny and swap it to AWD there at the track (i wish)

Does anyone have a pair of slicks i can borrow if i can't get any in time??? I got some 1000cc injectors tonight so i can get a safer and hopefully higher psi tune done and fine tuned before the 23rd. I'm ordering the new e85 safe filter and feed line replacement kit tomorrow as well, So as long as my pump can keep up I'm hoping to push 28-30psi that day.

Last time i was there on 19psi i did a 12.08 at 117mph, with all the new parts and E85 i should be easily in the 11's...i'm so damn excited it's pitiful

If anyone needs to contact me the number is 402-850-3166, just please understand i can't be on the phone for extended periods

Sorry man, I don't know of anyone that has slicks. Us AWD guys don't have much use for them unless we have some extreme HP. Anyways, I hope you can find some in time.
