How far do you and your bro live? And if everyone wants to cruise to salorville, maybe we should start out at the parking garage on 7th and Grand Ave downtown Des Moines and then after we've all met and talked it up a bit cruise from downtown out to salorville. If that's the case this event would be going on June 14th instead.
Let me know what you guys think though...give me your opinions!

Updated List Of People Attending
There is a list of who all is going so far. I keep updating the list. So far 15 are attending. Check the list it's post number 24 on this thread.
If it will let me post a picture on here I'll try bringing up a map of what parking garage I'm talking about.
If no one else says anything in response to the parking garage idea I will just plan on the meet being on
SATURDAY JUNE 14TH AT THE TOP OF THE PARKING GARAGE ON 7TH AND GRAND IN DOWNTOWN DES MOINES.

Directions
Okay. You all seemed fine when I said the Sonic on SE 14th so I'm gunna give you directions from the Sonic to the parking garage.
1) Go NORTH on SE 14th from the Sonic.
(Right if you're driving out of Sonic and facing SE 14th)
2)Follow SE 14th up to Indianola Rd. and take a left on Indianola Rd.
(It's a ways up SE 14th and Indianola Rd. is a diagonal road you can't miss)
3) Follow Indianola Rd. all the way down and you'll end up downtown on 2nd St.
4)Follow 2nd St. to Grand and take a left.
5)Follow Grand to 6th St. and take a right.
6)Follow 6th St. to High and take a left.
7)Follow High to 7th and take a left.
8)The parking garage enterance is immediatly on the left hand side. There are 3 gates at the enterance and a red sign above that says 1N. Take a ticket if the gates are closed and follow the garage all the way to the top. If the gates aren't closed just drive right in.
Be there by 9pm on June 14th 2008.
Anymore questions just let me know. I can give more detailed instructions based on where people are coming from.

I might be available that weekend. I have a Dodge Stealth twin turbo and a Mitsu 3000GT VR4. I'm on this board because I helped a guy run his GSX with NASA's roadcourse Time Trial series. I've also been into DSM's since I bought my Stealth seven years ago. I met a local guy that had a wicked fast 2nd gen:

I was into the street scene about that time and know Jeremy really well. The local racing scene was great back then. There were very few idiots, the cops left us alone when we met in parking lots, and the people were a lot of fun. Some really intelligent and fun people back then. It went downhill fast in 2002 or so. Jeremy sold his car and left the scene about that time. I started doing roadcourse events and building cars for that. We still stay in touch and hit the bar occasionally. Maybe I can talk him into coming out for this, but I doubt it. He's pretty much completely out of cars which is too bad considering how talented he was. The guy could tune a piggyback perfectly with no wideband or datalogger. He had the gift.
I should be available unless I'm racing that weekend at MidAmerican Motorplex.

I believe you mean the garage is on the right side. On the left is the Ruan building and the Marriot, the parking garage is across the street. I google earthed it just to make sure I wasn't stupid. so either my map is upside down in one place, or I just can't read a map for nothing anymore. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe with the directions you gave, you are traveling West on Grand, that means the garage in on the right side of the street.

The directions were some what wrong. It's on the left from High. 7th is a one way street going south. The enterance is on the left hand side going down 7th from High. It's inbetween High and Grand. Marriott is past Grand on the left and the Ruan building is on the right directly across 7th St. from the Marriott.
Check the directions again. This time they are accurate.
I did edit the directions though because they were incorrect. You have to go up to High St. after you get on Grand. Sorry about the mix up everyone.

By the way, if anyone would like to bring parts to this meet and have a small swap meet going on too it could be benifical to all of us.
If anyone has black 2G leather seats I'll be down to work out a trade or throw some cash their way. Let me know!
Thanks,
Zach

There are several Quick Trips in Des Moines. Be more specific. Especially if you wanted to follow me to the parking garage.
By the way if you guys really don't know Des Moines that well here's the exact address:
Grand Avenue Parking Garage
625 Grand Ave.
Des Moines, Iowa 50309
If for any reason you need their phone number also it's:
515-242-2630
So use Mapquest.com for detailed directions from your home to the meet.
By the way it shows the garage on Grand in the maps, but the entrance is actually on the East side of 7th St.
Thanks,
Zach

Do you need me to give you directions from the Quick Trip then?
QT is on 15th and Ingersoll and the garage is on 7th and Grand. So it's 8 blocks East and one block South of the QT.
Just use Mapquest.com and type in your home address as the starting point and the ending point as the address of the garage which I posted on this thread just below this post.
