PLEASE READ
With the conditions of the weather I am sorry to say that we will need to reschedule this first meet. A new date has not been set at this time. We will make a new date once the flooding conditions have become better. The conditions downtown by the parking garage where we would hold the meet are not bad, but we do not know what it will become like by tomorrow night and we don't want those of you who are planning on coming in from a distance to have to travel through it all. We'll let you know a the rescheduled date of the first meet as soon as possible. I apologize for this becoming a last minute decision.
Thanks,
Zach

+1
I'm in Chicagoland the 27th through the 29th. I'm Missing out on autox'ing to go, too, I don't need to be missing more. I wouldn't mind next weekend, but I'm assuming that's too soon for those who need to get time off.

son of a b*tch it's 1:20am and I've got work in 6 hours. I'm only up because I just finished throwing my car back together so I could head down tomorrow.
Ah well, better safe than sorry, plus it's a real pain in the ass to get around downtown as it sits.

hey just a thought.... Who would like to meet up in Ames tonight? There is a big empty parking lot in west Ames next to hyvee and walabys. If anyone still wanting to do something tonight, I would like for us to hold a small meet in Ames. Call me for questions 785-393-3632

My guess is that the meet will be rescheduled for the first week of July so that everyone can once again take off work if they need to and by then the weather should be cleared up.
If anyone has concerns about a new date, or days they wouldn't be able to go in the first week of July, please PM me so I can take everyone's schedule into consideration.
Everyone, sorry for the fact that we had to reschedule. It just seemed impossible for most of us to make it to the meet safely.

Yeah, this meet was pretty much the only reason I stuck around Iowa this weekend, and I was the first to flat out call for a reschedule.
I wasn't about to be a hypocrite telling my gf to take a day off of work and go home before the water rose any more and trapped her in Davenport, and then turn around and tell people to drive through this shit so I can have something to do this weekend.
It was a good and responsible decision, and I'm behind it 100%.
Also, I'm going to say that the first weekend in July is probably out for me, too, as I'm going to go home to see my family for the 4th. So that counts me out for both the 27-29th(in Chicago) and 3-6th(in the Twin Cities). I have a feeling most people are going to feel that way about that weekend as well.

Our best bet for July reschedule would be the 12th. The first week is the 4th of July weekend. Something says most people already have plans and are going out of town. The 12th is the closest date with a reasonable time for people to get things together so they can make it.

If we could go with the 12th, that'd be righteous.

Any word on when the flood situation should be back to normal?
I'm sure by July 12th that the weather will be back to normal and as for the first week of July, I had forgotten about the holiday and did not take it into consideration when making that post.
July 12th is the set rescheduled date at this time and it's unlikely to be subject to any changes. Once again 7pm at the same parking garage. I'll be starting a new thread with a link here below for discussion on this first meet.

Thanks everyone for your cooperation and patience with such a bad situation that this weather has put us in.

Please read the following:
Please let us know on the new thread we have started if you will be able to attend on our rescheduled date. Also, anyone bringing friends encourage them to get on this website and be active on our thread to keep themselves updated.
If everyone can do this I will be able to maintain a list of attendants that will closely follow our actual turn out on the day of the meet.
Thank you everyone,
Zach
