GTS viper rebuild quoted by you. I bet that 505 cubic inches turns you on. I love that car to man but I am similar to you. I am getting a 1971 chevelle 327 engine swap, Holley 4 barrel carb, Holley cams and bored .040 over. I am happy I got addicted to cars instead of drugs. Anyways you seem cool add me homie.

Ya I have heard they offer a rebuild kit and everything for it. But its 600 bucks. For that price I could def go a more cost effective route lol. What about launches on the xtd? With all the stuff on the car Im very hard on my clutch off launches when I 2 step. Also, I just replaced my clutch master cylinder about a month ago and had a friend mention a pedal stop? Im not sure that im overthrowing my clutch but it only has just over 1k miles on it..lol

Hey I just read one of your posts reguarding a clutch setup. You were talking about a xtd4 with lighten flywheel I believe. I currently have/had a ptt twin disk in mine and somehow it went out. When I push the clutch to the floor it makes a horrible rattle/grinding noise (not just the normal chatter lol) and its damn near impossible to get the car moving. Anyway, how do you like the setup and how much did it cost? What are the uses for you car? Im currently about 450-500 hp on low boost. So I would like to have a clutch that would hold up for serious horsepower without breaking the bank too badly. If you were wondering, I didnt buy the twin disk, it came with the car so I lucked out on the price. Any help would be amazing, and I dont have enough posts to start a thread yet, thanks

Ask and yee shall receive!

To do a recap on where we last left off I had begun the tedious task of pulling the wiring harness to ready myself for stripping down the harness and getting it race/ tuck ready. This process will include removing a MAJORITY, yes, more sh*t is removed than kept, of the unneeded bull crap from the harness. Relocating it to a more hidden location ad above all...

My updates are still behind the present time so I am trying to catch up so here goes..

The car is coming along nicely. Main hold backs come from a lack of fasteners for specific parts but I am managing. I use to have a mega box of nut and bolts but that was left at a friends house and now I'm slowly putting another together again. Makes life SO much easier, especially putting the Talon...

I guess this part of the post is where I reply to PMs.

I was asked about the cage main hoop and a pillar bars so I took a few more pics and hopefully these are the ones you wanted...

As far as the main hoop, yes it does pretty much touch the body. I'm not sure of any rules that say there must be a specific amount of gap there, but I did get certified previously...

So the Green Hornet is almost done and now its down to the details...

The ORIGINAL plan was to simply test the car out 100% bone stock but due to varying reasons it just made sense to come out swinging out the gate.

As seen previously the exhaust side was upgraded to ported/polished Evo 3 parts and all that was left was to spiff up the comp. housing.

After...

So the Galant is ready to start and had been taking most of the time out of the Talon build (as always) but I got around to doing something I had been meaning to do since I got the car.

The car came with a horrid stock 1g steering wheel (I hate em, been racing too long around tracks and far too use to proper wheels and hand placement as well as comfort)
