Finally ordered a gauge cluster from a wrecked 1999 GSX for 60 bucks and got it today. It was on my list of things i wanted for the car, and it turned out really good.

of course here are some pictures of my progress

Well i am finally done with this small project. What i did was pressure wash all 4 wheel wells, scrub all the mud out, spray a coat of gloss black rust stopper, the coat it all with rubberized under coating. i think it looks a lot better main reason is since the previous owner thought it was cool to paint EVERYTHING in the wheel well electric blue. yeah the engine wheel well was painted blue.... now...

Alright got paid and i started on fixing some ugly spots on the shock towers and under the power steering reservoir. pictures are like a week old and picture of the bubbly rust on the shock tower is from when i bought the car. before i started the paint was all off (crapy dealer fix) so i sanded, coated the tower with the aluminum rustoleum paint. then sanded again and painted over and over again....

Finally!! i got my hands on a nice set of them. i really like them. brand new straight from mitsubishi. 3 of the boxes are not even open yet. they will get tires and will be mounted sometime during this week.

what you guys think? better than those crappy aftermarket ones i have on there now. these rims nor the car will never be seeing rain or snow as long as i own it....
