Tuning will be expensive for a nonflashable ecus like a 95 (late 97s-99s only), but only 95s come with eprom ecus so DSMLink will be easier to buy and tune with. check their website for prices, and search the forums for stuff.
Unless you want to go with a piggy back tuner that can only use up to 650cc injectors, and only dials injectors by tricking the ecu. but it is cheaper.
I would ask for some pics first on the 14b because of the crack in the exhaust housing, because if its bad then you don't want that. The intercooler most likely won't work because its probably just the intercooler itself, with no piping. (and if it has the piping, then it will probably still not fit due to it being for an evo engine bay etc) So, you still need to look around a little for the intercooler, but if that turbo's crack isn't too bad then you should be good.
From what i see on eBay now, this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Real-EVO-III-16G-Turbo-/320911835249?pt=Race_Car_Parts&hash=item4ab7d60071&vxp=mtr has to be your best bet, but that doesn't mean a better deal won't come by later (all the other turbos that i saw on ebay were either overpriced or sketchy/won't work)
Heres the link to serial numbers for reference on most MHI turbos: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-turbo-system-intercooler/313105-16g-serial-numbers.html
Yes, Ebay brand turbos are terrible, you need to search for genuine mhi 16g turbos. What i do is search 16g turbo and then look in the auctions tab. When you are looking for a good one, make sure that it has a serial number (and make sure that the serial number is the right one). Also, check dsm classifieds and craigslist, because you can get some good deals.
For intercoolers, i would say stay away from ebay, unless you find a good used one (most of their prices are too close to VRSF, GReddy, and Punishment Racing to go for lesser quality) Like i said, check the classifieds, craigslist, and eBay. You could also make your own kit if you were feeling adventurous. There are alot of different ways to go here, and you could also go the Supra sidemount way and save some money.
Yea, i totally understand. My DSM has been down numerous times. I like checking craigslist and ebay for parts and cheap dsms. I got my big 16g off of ebay on a fresh rebuild for like $220 only like 4 months ago or so. It'd be cool to meet another dsmer, but i'm not sure when but we could talk that out later lol. I might try to make the car meet behind the goodwill tommorrow on wednesday. Other than that, you can ask me about anything on these cars, not saying im a master obviously like turboglenn but ive definitely had my share of run-ins, maintence, and upgrades with this thing. Hope to see you back on the street soon bro.
