my name is mark, my friends name is randy. nice to meet ya too alex. well, i know there are no lowering springs around...dsmparts.com is offering the last of the eibach kits for the 1G AWD, so you may hit them up. The kits are cheap, like $150. Cams, I only have the set in my car and won't be parting with them, sorry. I know there's a MBC layin around as well as a dejon race FMIC set up for blow-through with a GM MAF. Theres a DNP tubular exhaust manifold w/ external gate, a 48 trim turbo, forget the manufacturer, an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator, battery relocation kit, and i've got some gauges I want to upgrade from...a autometer phantom boost and phantom EGT. I've also got a SAFC and PocketLogger w/ Palm Pilot setup that I'd like to sell.
Yeah, the 272's are pretty awesome. I've had them in other previous DSM's as well. The ones in the red car don't seem to match what my old HKS's did. I actually swapped heads a bit ago and pulled the cams out, and couldn't verify that they were HKS. They didn't have an HKS stamp in them, but when Jon put this car together I don't know what other vendors were even doin the 272's. They don't pull as good of vaccuum as the HKS's I had either, and that's actually what made me suspicious initially. I think they are the Crower equivilent. Anyway, there's a garage full of parts between me and my friend...what are you looking for?
Yep, the red '90 is John's old car. I've owned it for about 3 years now. It's stayed pretty much the same, it was set up pretty well when I bought it...just needed some finishing touches. It still needs ECMLink and suspension, but everything else has been done to it. Forged internals, shep trans, 4 bolt rear...still on the sleeper 16g. I had it running 25psi this summer. Haulin ass with only 2 counts of knock on pump gas and alcohol bein sprayed. G-tech had it at 11.80 @ 119 though I never made it to the track because I was out of town working almost every weekend.
Thanks man! The Shep trans is great, super smooth, shift clean always...even while reving out to 8750rpm on a ACT clutch setup....I love it! The holset numbers are about to get a whole lot better, i'll post results on the 28th or 29th of this month after I dyno the car again.
Thanks man! I try my best to help out the community so they don't have to make as many trial-and-error changes as I did and sharing my experiences with products on the market so people make better informed decisions.
Later,
