First off, im a 10 year honda owner, im done with hondas as my daily driver
So I got a 99 eclipse gs
Rite off the back I got the oil pressure sending unit leak
Replsced the switch n didnt plug in the switch, I got no check engine light or oil light
Its been a month now. And the oil light flickers on n off while driving, I feel nothing different on theway the car responds. When plugged in it does the same,
What do you guys think it is, shouldnt my light be on if its not plugged in, n why is it turning on now?

Im so frustrated rite now, everything seems to be braking , or messing up on me rite now.
And im done with hondas ### It got stolen, n stripped.

The switch simply grounds that wire, completing the circuit for that light bulb.

If it's disconnected it will not light.

If the wire touches ground anywhere it will light up.

If it's disconnected, light flickers, and it's not because it's dangling end has contacted grounded metal, check the wire further up and see where it's grounding out at.

You said it also flickers with it plugged in so I'd say it's grounding out before the switch so take a good look at the wire.

The big bell shaped sensor is oil pressure and the smaller one with the screw on top is the switch FYI. The switch is the only one that makes that light.

Yeah the green plug I think
Im hoping its not my pump, it doesnt make noise n the car drives good, does not over heat,
N it started yesterday, yesterday was our first 95+ degree day.

I found the bald wire, but now I see the first plug sensor leaking, next to the oil filter
Which plug is this, any advise on putting on some kind of sealant on the plug

Easy way to tell, ground the wire with key on and see if the oil light comes on or if the pressure gauge pegs high.

A tiny bit of RTV should do the trick, preferable pipe thread sealant. Just make sure it can't get into the oil and clog passages. Try applying it further up the threads

Im so feed up with thiscar, never had a car that has one problem after another,
Now my 5th gear is popping out
