Ok so reverse has been harder to get into lately. It was easier once it warmed up but this morning it wouldnt go in. I tried to force it and now when its in it just stalls out. The other gears all work fine.

I'm going to say it's time to rebuild your transmission if it has high mileage on it. Still check to see if everything is adjusted correctly (shift linkage, clutch is properly disengaging, etc).

Are any other gears harder to get into than normal, my shift linkage shifted on me and i lost reverse, because things wernt lining up properly and it would just grind. My other gears wernt where they were supose to be though they all shifted slightly right.

Sometimes (while in neutral) you can let the clutch out a little to where it just starts to grab and it will slip into reverse easier. This is due to the reverse idler gear teeth become rounded instead of sharp with usage. But check the things others have said first especially that the shift cables are secured (can't move) in engine bay.

Thanks guys. It went in to reverse today but something ain't right. I am bringing it to a pro on Monday for the transfer case seals/recall and I'll just have him take care of it. I want to do it my self but lack the space, time and know how. Oh well, I'll just shell out the cash until things change.

I see you have made your decision. But for others reading this post looking for an answer...
With the right wheel off, after draining the trans fluid, we were able to take the trans cover off and replace
the reverse idler synchro and spring. Cost less than $50 for parts.

Like luv2rallye said. Rounded gear or smashed onto the cone like ours was.

In our case we also needed to replace the top nut that holds all the gears on the shaft, it had stripped which was causing trouble with 5th gear.
There was a write up about it on this site that walked us through it all.

When done we put it back together and used Redline MT90 and have been very happy.

Good luck.
