So I. Just read through some pages about this but didn't get the info I need. Last night I bought a cam angle sensor housing with all parts and the sensor and need to put it on my '95 GS-T. I took the housing apart to clean it up and such and noticed how the cylinder inside that spins with the intake cam has cuts in it for the magnetinc sensor to read during operation. What I need to know is does this cylinder need to be lined up a certain way on the camshaft in order to be read right by the sensor? I know the notches on the cylinder slide into the cam, but don't know more beyond that. All info welcomed. Trying to install tonight after work.
:hellyeah:

Are you putting a 1g CAS on? It requires some special wiring and mounting. The factory 2g CAS for the 95-96 is magnetic under the intake cam gear (http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=57673&d=1131787540).

No, I wasn't gonna put a 1g cas on it. Idid come with it however and I replaced it with the part for the 2g and still not starting. I just found out tonight that my engine is in fact a 6-bolt engine so now I have to use the cas that came on it. I do know about the wire patch avalible to connect the harnesses so I'll probably get it. Unfortunately, the cas I have has bad wires and no connector. I've opened the cas and need to know I'm I'm able to replace the wires since they screw into the mount. Only trouble would be putting the new wires back through it. Where can I get one of the connectors for it or is it just better to buy the patch and splice them together? If not, what do I splice it to?
:hmm:

Well ißve made the determination that the cas that was on the engine when I bought the car, is morthan likely off a '90 model based on pics from RRE and isn't compatable with their patch harness. So now I'm trying to sorce another one that is compatable. If any one has any suggestions of where/how I can obtain one, please feel free to explain.
:ohdamn:
