Wendy was given a shot on Monday called Procrit. This injection is to increase her red blood cell count. Wednesday she started to feel the side effects which is severe bone pain. On top of all that she is going through she has Fibromyalgia. She is a real trooper. I cannot express how it is to watch her go through all this. Wednesday till today she has pretty much just slept and taken pain meds every 2 to 3 hours to manage. I was able to get her in the van last night and our oldest son drove the van while I walked with Brax and Bray. I am thankful that she didnt miss out on Brays really first Halloween that he could enjoy. I just want my Wife and friend back. She never leaves the house unless its to go to the hospital. I just ask those of you that are religious to just pray for her everyday. Those that are not please just keep her in your thoughts.
Side note: Anyone have an extra manual boost contoller. I was contact by a vendor about sponsoring one but now there is no response after several attempts to contact them.
The car is pretty much the same way you guys and gals saw from the last pictures. The fuel items have arrived form Tuners Nation. Big thanks to Garfield again. The transmisson will be here mid week along with the axles. We are getting really close to firing the car up, then off to the dyno.
Best wishes,
Brad Pate

Brad,
Sorry to hear the car & Wendy won't be able to compete in that event. There's an NSCRA event @ Palm Beach International Raceway (Formerly Moroso Motorsports Park) on December 5, 2009. If by any chance you think you guys can make it, just let me know & I'll take care of the entry fees. Here's a link to the event. Browse through the site to see the results & pictures from previous NSCRA events.
Good luck & let me know if you think you guys can make it to participate so I can get everything setup. There's still a chance to get Wendy & the car down the 1320 before the year is over.

Th NSCRA event would be an excellent oppertunity for Wendy to make her debut. That is also the week of PRI in Orlando. John Brown and PBIR has done a great job with the NSCRA.
Wendy, I saw Brads post. We will get you down the track when you and th car are both 100% percent. And I WILL be there., no matter where it is or when it is. Everything is in the Lord's hands right now. Don't question it just go with it. I know it's easier said then done but we are all here for you.

That's a shame you guys won't be up there I'm actually meeting a guy there on sunday who made me a custom muffler for my setup along with another piece for my build and I wish that would be the day to meet you guys too but everything will work itself out. Hopefully you guys find a event alittle closer as a FL race track is out my reach at this point.
Thank you for everything. That may be an event we may be able to attend. I will keep you posted.
Sandra,
I will be in touch. We would love for you to come back!
Sean,
I know it truly sucks! We will get to meet in the near future.
Rob,
PM sent. Thank you!!!
Phunny,
Thank you for the offer. I believe Rob is hooking us up.
Steve,
Love the build album. I will continue to send you photos to update it.
Everyone has been just so great. Wendy is having a rough time but she is really fighting it. This up coming Sunday should be a great day. Alot of parts should be here and the car will be really close to cranking it up. Maybe even Sunday.
You all will be in my thoughts and prayers. I think it's amazing that so many people have come together to make this happen for you and Wendy. Your family is very brave and I really hope you all beat the cancer.
I am extremely excited about this up coming weekend. Reason being is the tranny will be here tomorrow, axles came yesterday, all the fuel lines and fittings are here, wheel studs, boost controller is on its way, and I am eager. I hope to post some really good pictures this weekend and have some video of cranking the car??? Stay tuned.
You guys should come down to the event in west palm. Their great events. And like the one person said, PRI is close to the same time. I could possibly get 2 passes for u guys to get in PRI. I would just have to know a couple weeks ahead. Pm me if interested. Thanks and You guys are always in my thoughts and prayers.
Thank you so much. After speaking with Wendy, we are going to use the monies to buy safety equipment. Her harnesses are out of date, she will need a net for the window, etc....
I was told that the seat has to welded to the floor. Anyone have additional information on spec for passing tech?

I never heard that about the seats. I would ask Paul about that one.
Sunday didnt go as well as planned. The new hubs are in with new wheel bearings and wheel studs. I left the clutch fork and throw out bearing at home. Its a 40 minute drive one way to the Wier shop. Needless to say the tranny didnt get put in or the axles. The fuel system is almost complete, yet we were missing a few fittings and different size lines. I have ordered a stainless clutch line from master to slave, 1.5" SS pipe to finish the wastegate dump to the bumper for exit, and downpipe fange to make a custom downpipe. It should be done completely Sunday after next. Then off to the dyno, then the cage will be welded in, and lastly paint. It is extremely frustrating to see it so close but yet it seems so far away.
Next Sunday they will not be working on the car because it is the NC/SC DSM meet at the Fayetteville track. This is the day before Wendy's chemo starts again. I hope she is up for it. We will be attending the meet in the van. Maybe I can figure out what the noise is in the GVR4 and we can take that.
Wendy has completed her 10 days of Nuepogen shots along with the Procrit shots. They did lab work today and results came back that her white and red blood cell counts are close to normal. The shot are worth it. Her platelet count is low so she has to be extremely careful.
Thank you all. It will be ready for the track soon.
Brad,
I got your email late about the additional items you need to finish up the fuel system. I'll have everything ready for you later today & will give you a call.
brad, regardless of what car it is or when
i think everyone would love a video of wendy either, starting her car or even just a video of her excitement level about the car in general.
thanks
p.s. if you can pm me wendys favorite song or one of them i have a idea that i would like to contribute just for her
thanks brad
