What would be a good replacement for stock struts. Car handled good enough for me when the stock struts were in good shape. I don't want to lower it, but I don't want a crap set from like Advance or Auto zone.

2 Is it worth doing a rear brake conversion from drum to disc? When I bought the car somebody had the drums cut, the problem is they were not done properly and the brakes are pulsating. (I replaced the front rotors because I have never heard of Drums having much problems at all as far as pulsations, I figured it out by appling my ebrake and that is when the shaking starts.)

to replace drums they are $89 each!!!

If I do this conversion, taking all the rear brakes off of a say a TSI, is this pretty much a bolt on job?

Sorry so long, comments or suggestions needed.

:D

There are 2 reasons for swapping from drum to disc. #1, the coolness factor #2 you are heavy into racing and you need the extra braking.

To swap to disc you will need the brake assy, new ebrake cables and probably the proportioning valve. I believe it is a bolt up conversion but don't quote me.

I would just take a trip to a junkyard. Rear drums don't warp nearly as easily as front rotors. Chances are you can pick a set up cheaply and have them cut by a competant shop. DON'T go to pepboys. They told me my BAER rotors were composite and they were not able to skim them. Personally I wouldn't buy a bolt from them.. but that is just me.

Thats what you need for the drum conversion. If you get all the parts it pretty much is just bolt on.
For replacement shocks I have Tokico performance shocks. They aren't too expensive and work really good. If you get springs the Eibach Pro Kit will only drop about 1.5". I know you said you didn't want to drop it, but its just a suggestion.
